Come explore the beautiful Dixie Mine Trailhead with the River of Time Museum during their first dinner and lecture series of 2018 on Wednesday, January 10th at 6:00 pm. This wonderful evening full of history will kick off with an enjoyable Italian Dinner presented by Phil’s Filling Station, and lecture from Tiffany Sprague, the Field Institute Manger with the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy!
Learn more about what makes the Dixie Mine Trailhead unique within the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Sprague will also discuss current research being done in the area, what makes the community near the mine special, and how its effected by the ground water coming from the mine.
Beer and wine service will begin at 6:00 pm followed by dinner, and then the speaker. Tickets are $25 a person, and $20 for members are available at the River of Time Museum, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more information, please call the museum office at 480-837.2612.
