Browse the work of 125 nationally- acclaimed, award-winning artists from across America and around the world at the 15th Annual Thunderbird Fine Art & Wine Affaire in Fountain Hills.
The featured artist at this year’s juried art show is Fountain Hills resident Deborah Liszt. As a self-taught wildlife scratchboard artist, what she does is still rare due to the complexity of the process. “At the time that I discovered scratchboard art, I was working with pen and ink and pencil. Because of the dimensional and textural effects achieved with this medium, I felt that it would be a much more realistic approach with the subject of animals.”
Visitors will enjoy an unparalleled, vast selection of imported and domestic wines, local micro-brews, flavored spirits, delicious food, and yummy treats. For $10, patrons receive an engraved souvenir wine or beer glass with six tasting tickets. Sample wines from around the world or indulge in an ice-cold beer.
Round off the experience by tapping your foot to great live music. Bob Culbertson is an influential Chapman Stick player, notable for his many recorded albums and extensive touring. Chuck Hall is a guitarist and vocalist whose unique talent and dedication to his craft have earned him accolades among fans and critics. He won “Best Blues Guitarist” in Arizona two years in a row and his song “Young Boy” was selected Best Song by Soundboard Magazine. He also was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 2000.
Admission is free for Fountain Hills residents and $3.00 for non-residents.
