Summer camp is a great way for kids to become independent and self-confident while working on their social skills to make new friends. While traditional resident camps are a valuable part of American culture, not everyone is able or ready to jump that hurdle. That’s why day camps are a powerful alternative.
The Town of Fountain Hills is offering week-long, full day camps this summer, giving parents and children a great local option. Since kids return home in the evening, they can build new friendships, gain self-confidence, and build new skills during the day while parents continue to play a large role in their daily life through conversation in the evenings.
This is the Town’s third year of summer camp and they have opened it to ages 6-12, so long as Kindergarten has been completed. Participants will enjoy daily teambuilding and self-development exercises, crafts, sports, and active games. There will be field trips to a Phoenix Mercury game, Main Event, a movie, and more. Other than the field trips, the camp will primarily be held at the Fountain Hills Middle School gymnasium.
Each camp runs for one week from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. A detailed schedule of activities will be available upon registration. Space is limited to the first 13 kids.
There are two opportunities for participation. The first camp runs June 10-14, and the second runs July 15-19.
